December

(me, mom, and Bobby Christmas 2005)

Tomorrow is the first day of December. I really do love Christmas! Tomorrow we start our advent calendar with the kids, which brings fun new activities such as watching boats in the cold, making christmas cookies and gingerbread houses, drinking hot chocolate, visiting with the family, and of course an annual christmas trip to Disneyland. I love it all.

God is starting to work in mysterious ways in the Farmer household. I received a call from Tim this morning saying that there is an extremely high chance he will receive a pink slip this week. His last day of work would be in the beginning of January. I asked him how he felt about this and he was in great spirits, God will provide. About 30 minutes after my conversation with Tim I got a call from my old boss. They are in need of some temporary staff and asked if I would be able to come back... on a work from home basis. Seriously? I have always told them I would be willing to work from home but I knew they wouldn't really take me up on it.

I knew God was doing some great stuff in our lives. I can't wait to see what God is writing in this next chapter. I truly believe it is a special thing when we are open to Gods will and blessings instead of fighting against them for the fear of change. My prayer this christmas season is that we can all let go of the rope and fall into God's arms.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11
