El Indio

On Saturday we had a nice little family day. It looked like is was going to be a cold day but it ended up being descent. I needed to get some cloths for Ryan so Tim being the awesome husband he is headed to the outlets with me. It didn't take very long though. I think we were pretty much in and out of there in good time. Tim wanted to go to the Padres game that night so we went to the stadium but of course if you wait until the last minute tickets are $47 (if was free jersey night). From there we headed to lunch at El Indio. Good grub. Here are the pictures.

Then we decided to hang out at the zoo for a bit.

And then some frozen yogurt on the way home (I had a coupon for a free one).

All and all a fun day. Now, I'm ready for this weekend. Gina's bridal shower, and Noah's dedication! (oh ya, and my wedding anniversary);)

Am I old?

Let me first start off saying I HATE HOA's! Then let me followup by saying I HATE multifamily complex's. I can't wait to move. Get me out of here! As you can probably tell this post will probably feel more like a rant, there is a reason for that... IT IS!

The kids that live in the community are driving me nuts! They seem to multiply daily, if not hourly. I thought I was going to go insane during spring break! Where are these kids parents! All they do is lounge around on their bikes and scooters and whatever other wheeled devise they own that allows them to make sure they don't need to take even one step all day long! They are loud and intrusive, leave stuff lying around EVERYWHERE. It actually felt good to throw away a kite they left out over night.

Am I getting old? Do I not remember what it was like to be a kid? Did I make my neighbors go nuts? I'm sure the answer to all those question is yes to some extent. Doesn't same of us feel that kids are so much more disrespectful now? A right of entitlement? Not all, but a good amount of them. Maybe part of it is when I was young we were able to explore our neighborhood more. We didn't seem to be stuck in the same area all day long. But there is a park not far from here.

I don't know what the answer is. I feel bad for the kids that just want to be kids and have fun. I also feel bad for me to have to endear the noise and the inconvenience of it all. So, I finally had enough and emailed the management company. I need some sanity back. The kids need a park to explore. Peace needs to be restored to Mar Brisa. (Oh yeah, and the neighbor across from us needs to take down his CHRISTMAS LIGHTS). I just hope something gets done, if they can figure out a system to tow my car (ahem, twice) they can figure out a way to exterminate kids.

Okay, I feel better. Rant, over! Let me say that I do like kids. I just don't need them interrupting my very rear, very much needed, quiet time.

So tell me, am I mean? Too old and unhip?

Cabrillo

On Saturday Tim, the boys, my friend Lisa, and I all headed to Cabrillo to hang out at the tidepools. It was rather windy but the cliffs broke the wind up a little so it wasn't too bad. Tim and Ryan got there first and then Lisa, Noah, and I came with burritos from Lolita's. After eating we headed up to the lighthouse and hung out until Ryan had a complete melt down. Oh, the joys of a 2 year old without a nap! It turned out to be a really fun day. After we left Cabrillo, Lisa and I crashed some weddings (don't worry, we were totally dressed for the occasion in shorts and tanks!). Then we went back to Lisa's and looked through our freshman year book. I pray she has put that thing away by now! Then Tim came over (grandma watched the kids), Dan got off work, and we all headed to BJ's for some pizza and a birthday picookie for Lisa (her birthday is Friday, happy bday Lisa!) Here are some pictures from the tidepools.

Happy Earth Day!

Easter

Happy Easter! I know a little late but still better then never, right?.

On Friday Ryan and I decorated eggs together. Now I need to find something to do with the eggs. Earlier that morning Tim took the kids to an egg hunt at his work. On Saturday morning Tim took the kids to his brothers house to hunt more eggs. My awesome husband took the kids for the day while I had a nice workout and then a girls spa day! That's right, you should be jealous. I digress, on Sunday morning we went to church and the kids hunted for eggs between the two services. I was so disappointed when I realized I forgot my camera at home. No Easter pictures! It was Noah's first Easter and no camera. Luckily Michelle was there with her camera so she took some pictures of the boys. We got home and put Ryan down for a nap, I must admit I fell asleep at this point. Of course, just when Noah went down Ryan woke up.

While Ryan was playing it seems Tim also fell asleep. FYI, not good to have 2 sleeping parents when an Easter basket full of candy is close by. Upon waking up from my short(ahem, 3 hour)nap, we come to find Ryan has red something all over his shirt. Yes, that would be the matching shirt he has with Noah that I have still yet to take pictures of them in. It took about 5 minutes for Tim to realize Ryan got in to his Easter basket and enjoyed his first Now and later...cherry of course. Well I guess this makes up for not feeding him lunch due to our napping schedule. Wow, this sounds even worse while writing it!

We decided to wake Noah up at 5pm (after Ryan's shirt has been washed) and pick up some subway sandwiches (great Easter dinner) and picnic on the grass by the bay in Coronado. It was FREEZING! Oh well, Ryan had a blast. Noah, not so much. Then to end the day we went for some frozen yogurt. Not your typical Easter Sunday but it worked for us - sort of. Here are some pics of Easter festivities!

Disneyland

I really have no desire to write that much. I am rather tired tonight. Maybe it's the gloomy day that is bringing me down. Or the 1(ahem...3)cookie I just ate at 130 calories PER COOKIE! Whatever it is I think it is going to be an early bedtime for me tonight.

As promised, here are some pictures of Disneyland.

And last, Noah watching TV in the hotel...
