Choices

There are so many times where I have Ryan with me and I have to run an errand but the thought of dragging Ryan out of the car for something little seems like to much work so I skip it. I was reading this article and I had very mixed emotions. The mother parked in a loading zone outside walmart and left her 2 year old daughter sleeping in the car while she took her 2 older daughters to the salvation army can to donate money they collected. The car was locked and the alarm was on. In fact, the car was never out of the mothers sight. The mother was arrested and now on trial for child endangerment.

As parents I think we are left with these choices all the time. What if we want to run into Starbucks? How about running to someones front door to drop something off? I guess my own thoughts on it was the car was never out of the mothers sight. I've left Ryan in the car to run inside the house before which would be further then the woman was from her car. I think the police are taking this a little far. Maybe they could have warned her about the danger but not arrested her.

Does any one else have an opinion on this?...

Eventful weekend

I know this is belated but I wanted to wish Tim a happy birthday! I love you very much and I am sorry you are so old! =) Travis, I know it was your birthday too and I hope you have a great one!

On Saturday, Tim and I along with some friends went to the wild animal park. We had a fun time and Ryan loves the carousel. Then on Sunday we met up with Tim's family and again rode a carousel and the train at Balboa Park. Yesterday Ryan and I went to the beach with some friends. He played in the sand and sorta played in the water (I think the water was to cold for him). All in all a good weekend. Here are some pics:

Isaiah

It's way overdue but Tim and I joined a life group again. We have not been a part of a life group since Ryan was born. We haven't been in a study not because we haven't wanted to but because our schedule has been crazy.

We were so excited to go last week. When we got there I found out that our study was going to be on the book of Isaiah. Isaiah? Why Isaiah I thought. Can we do something, anything, in the new testament. Then God did what he does best, hits me over the head and humbles me. As we got into the study I remembered how relevant our God is. Something that was written so long ago is still so useful in our life today. Are we called to live a life of routine or a life living outside our comfort zone?

I am so happy we are back in followship with friends sharing Gods word! I feel so much better. God is Good!
