Welcome Baby Luke!

Luke Donald Farmer arrived on October 8th, 2011 at 4:57pm 19 inches long 8pounds 6 ounces.

Finally I had a delivery and recovery that didn't end up putting me in the urgent care or ER. Contractions started Saturday morning then stopped after I got my epidural. Of course, once my epidural wore off they realized my contractions had stopped so they ended up breaking my water around 2:30pm. Unfortunately for me things sped up so fast the anesthesiologist was able to come give me a top off but not in time for it to actually work before I pushed this little guy out. I pushed for about 15 or 20 minutes and baby Luke was here. Much more painful then with Noah when I barely felt the contractions I was so numb.

Looking back on it though, I really like the fact I was able to have the experience to labor and really feel what my body was going through. Don't get me wrong, I loved the fact there was not as much pain during the delivery of Noah but this was a much more intense experience. I am fortunate to have a doctor that allow me to have 2 VBAC deliveries.

After delivering Luke we were back home about 23 hours later. Everything has been going smooth and the boys LOVE having their new little brother out of my belly. Ryan took out all his toys for him to play with on his first night home and Noah loves to sit with him and sing to him.

I have to admit, my life right now is bliss. hectic and tiring... but I am one blessed mommy.

I love my boys.
