First off, let me say congratulations to Bobby and Rachel for having their baby last night. I am unable to give many details because I haven’t checked my FACEBOOK yet!! Yep, you heard me. Baby was born last night, I found out by calling my mom this morning. What was the first thing everyone said to me…Haven’t you checked your facebook? Are you kidding me? What happened to the old fashion phone call? I had to hear about my nephew being born with the rest of the world. I heard the same time that the other 400 some odd “friends” he hasn’t spoken to in who knows how long heard. Scratch that, they have all probably checked their facebook by now… I heard after! Arggg! All of a sudden in a flash of a moment I can’t stand this social networking stuff! How impersonal have we become as a socity.
Kylie and I were talking on Sunday about how I learn things that are going on in her life by her blog or facebook. Mind you, I talk on the phone with her about 3 times a week... at least! What is happening to relationships these days? I am not mad at by brother; in fact I am so proud to be an Aunt again. At the same time I am a little hurt that relationships have been thrown out the window for social networking sites. It’s sad…
P.S. when I get more info about the baby I'll give him a proper post...although everyone will probably already know!
